Spanish Teacher/JAG Specialist
I attended 3 different high schools in 3 different states.
I attended a private liberal arts university in Oklahoma City where I majored in Spanish education. I also spent a semester in Central America studying Spanish, Latin American social and political life, and Latin American literature.
I came to Cedarville High School in August of 2014. My husband grew up in Van Buren and graduated from VBHS in 2000. He received the call to pastor Van Buren First Church of the Nazarene, so we packed up and moved to the area. I teach Spanish I & II.
Before coming to Cedarville, I began teaching high school Spanish at Bethany High School in Oklahoma City immediately after graduating from college. I taught Spanish I, II, & III for 3 years before moving to Ponca City, OK with my husband to pursue a ministry opportunity he had received. There I taught high School Spanish part time for 7 years while I had all 3 of our kids.
I married my husband BJ in June of 2004. We have 2 boys and 1 girl who keep us living large and exhausted.
Being a wife, mother, teacher & pastor's wife keeps me rather committed and starved for free time. To help keep me sane, I run 5 days a week before work. On the side, I have a little cupcake & cookie business.
