English 9, Oral Communications, Drama, Creative Wr
I graduated from Charleston High School in Charleston, Arkansas many, many moons ago. After going to college part-time at Westark (now UAFS) and working full-time, I got married and enrolled full-time at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway where I received my Bachelors degree in 1995. I went back to school at Arkansas Tech University in 2006. There I received my Masters degree in Library Media.
I am certified in PreK-3, Elementary 1-6, Social Studies 5-8, English 5-12, Oral Communications, Drama, and Library Media K-12. I am also AP certified in English Literature.
This will be my seventh year at Cedarville. I teach 9th grade English, Oral Communications, Drama, and Creative Writing. I also sponsor Chess Club and the current Junior class.
I started my teaching career in Hernando, Mississippi where I taught 4th and 5th grade. I then taught a multi-subject 7th grade class in Mustang, Oklahoma. Upon moving back to Arkansas, I began teaching 8th grade English at Darby Junior High School in Fort Smith.
I have been married to my husband, Brett, for 25 years. While we do not have any human children, we do have what many call "fur-babies." We have two black labs and 5 cats.
I enjoy reading, watching old movies, and Cardinals baseball.
