A Letter from the Principal
My name is Courtney Cochran, and I want you to know that it is one of the greatest honors of my life to serve as the principal of Cedarville High School.
I believe in the power that grows deep inside our students, just bubbling up now as they enter adolescence. It is the power to discern what’s right, to pave new paths, to think ambitiously, and to love magnificently. I believe our students can show us the way to a better, brighter, more peaceful world. All we need to do is listen, and follow their lead.
I believe that teachers are experts. Not only are they experts in their fields, but they are experts on our children. They give their lives and their hearts to this great and noble cause we call “education,” expecting nothing in return. When we, as leaders, parents, and community stakeholders empower our teachers, they will feed our children who will in turn blossom and bear fruit that will feed us all.
I believe in the partnership between community and school. The school is the hub of the community, and the community is the fuel that powers the school. When we work together to change and save children’s lives, only greatness will result.
I believe in the power of failure, and the strong character: the courage, the perseverance, and the grit, that results from it.
Our students are our hope; our teachers are our guiding light; and our community is our strength. At Cedarville High School, we strive to make these ideals evident every day.
Come visit us and see for yourself!
